Alchemy is the premire goth industrial night in Washington, DC offering two dance floors and one of the largest venues on the East Coast. Nation, an old Navy Warehouse lends to the industrial feel, and also offers an outdoor patio. The club staff are friendly and enjoy the crowd, cover charge is generally $7, although more for concerts. Every Saturday. chiarOscuro weaves a rich interwoven tapestry of musical styles. It is a capital two-party dance system! Chiaro showcases a pastel gallery of light music featuring infectious electroclash, EBM, futurepop and progressive grooves, accented with brilliant britpop, synthpop and new wave selections. Oscuro exhibits shading and contrast with the latest in rhythmic noise and dark electronica as well as classic selections of industrial, gothic and dark wave. chiarOscuro has commissioned the most unique weekly vendors, the most discriminating guest DJs, and the most colorful refreshments. chiarOscuro welcomes bartenders Melanie (from Alchemy @ the Cage/The Fifth Column), Jessica (the Depot), Nick and Richard to the bartender's guild. They will tempt you with Hard Core Cider and $5.00 pitchers of draft beer. chiarOscuro will also feature a "Cigarette Muse," selling clove and specialty cigarettes throughout the night, as well as assorted confections. Corrosion at DA's/RFD (Back Room) 810 8th Street, NW (near Chinatown), Washington, DC
Twice a month, on Friday nights. Corrosion features a large space (with opportunities for band appearances in the future), relaxed atmosphere, great bar, and good music, which ranges from darkwave, deathrock, goth, electro, industrial, punk and 80's. We're request-friendly and encourage people to send us their club favorites (or brand new stuff they want everyone to hear!), so join us and 'celebrate the decline'.

Visiting Washington, D.C.? Don't miss the capital's favorite Gothic/Industrial dance party, Midnight, held each Saturday, at The Meeting Place (TMP), in the lower level of 1707 L Street, NW. Come dance to a mix of the best Gothic, Industrial, and Synthpop music, spun by DJs Phae, Vikki Wilson, Solaries, London, and St. Aspartame, along with guest DJs weekly who are equally request-friendly. Watch for weekly drink specials (mixed by some of the District's best bartenders), vendors, and giveaways. For those with the Midnight munchies, TMP also features a late-night sandwich menu. Our crowd ranges from old-school punk, young and eternally-young goths, industrial rivetheads, and even future-wave friends; we've got something for everyone! Nocturna - DJ Scary Lady Sarah, and sometimes guests, spins ethereal music early and Gothic dance, electro, and synth-pop, emphasizing the new and underground, late. Open from 10:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. 21 and over. Nocturna, established in 1988, may well be the world's longest continuously running weekly Goth Night. Huge club with three rooms and six fully-stocked bars (no waiting in line for a drink). There is a "bacchanalian feast of bread and fruit" offered in the lounge as well as art and sculpture from locally showcased artists. Vendors will also be present to sell wares of the aberrant, melancholy, and psychotic kind. Pool table and comfy chairs also available. The front room offers a dance floor and caters to the industrial/ebm/electro-pop/cyber/trance crowd with plenty of seating and a huge dance floor. The back room plays mostly goth/industrial, has a large dance floor and is notorious for bringing well-known artists in for the occasional live performance (see website under "Special Events".
