- Personal information such as your full name, street address, or telephone number. Identity theft is at the top of the list of criminal activity and is increasing rapidly. Please, be very cautious.

- Anything related to blood donors/seekers can not be advertised in profiles because of the presence of minors. Interested donors/seekers must be 18 and must place all inquiries of this nature in the Vampire Inner Sanctum within the Forum.
- Sexual Explicit comments are not permitted in profiles.

- Some members seem to be under the impression that the private message system is an actual email system. It is not. This is a way for you to interact with other members on a private one on one. This system is not to harass other members, spam the system with unwanted sexual comments or anything to make another member feel uncomfortable. What you discuss with another member is your business, however, if it is brought to my attention that there have been threats, levels of major discomfort to other members, or anything remotely illegal discussed on the PM system, you will lose your membership. - All PM's are kept in the site database, once a month the database is cleared and your old PM's from the following month are removed. If you would like to keep your old PM's I suggest you open notepad, word, or some other word processing software on your computer and copy and paste your PM's in there and save them on your hard drive.

- Yes, we do realize that there are individuals who are not expert spellers and may experience problems at times. All that we ask here is that you try your best when corresponding on Darkness Embraced. We suggest using words programs to help assist you, as most have built in spell checkers.
- Cell phone text speech, Internet lingo, Internet shorthand, or what ever one wishes to call it, is restricted from use on Darkness Embraced. (Excluding terms such as lol, lmao") However, the following terms are not permitted: {Gr8t, i, y, u, ur, r, ty, b4, 4ever, cuz, bcuz, 2 (as non-numerical and used as a substitute for “too” or “to”) 4, (same rule applies for the number 2)}
- Darkness Embraced has a few reasons for this, but primarily it is due to the dependency of translation systems that some of our foreign members use to communicate with here on Darkness Embraced. Also, let's not forget the text to speech programs that our visually impaired visitors depend upon. Any term not acknowleged by a standard dictionary will give a inappropriate translation and the visitors will eventually become frustrated and find somewhere else to go more lingual friendly.
- Punctuation is just as important. Please use a space after you end a sentence with a period or comma. This is rather difficult for the average user to follow, much less for our foreign members.
- Please capitalize "I" when used as a personal pronoun and all letters beginning a sentence. When posting in the forums and other formal areas of the site.

I myself claim attachment to the term psi vampyre and vampyre lifestyle with empathic abilities, however, there are few things that I will not permit on this site. They are as followed: |

- Claims to immortality: If you expect any of us to honestly believe that you are a 600 and odd number old undead vampire, then please let me suggest you take leave rather quickly and not even speak a word of nonsense here. You will accomplish nothing but bouts of laughter and condemnation to infinity and beyond.
- Special Supernatural Powers: If you boast super natural powers such as turning into mist, bats, or any other off the wall creature, have extended canines when you feel the "hunger", the ability to "astral project" into someone's bedroom to attack them or rape them, run like the bionic man and hear five miles down the road, or see through buildings, etc.. Please, take it somewhere else and do not speak it here. Make no mistake, I do believe in astral projection and some heightened senses, but there are some who come here with the most outlandish tales and think we are all gullible enough to actually believe every spoken word as gospel.
- Blood Donors/Seekers: Any material related to bloodletting or donors/seekers can only be discussed in the The Vampire Innersanctum. This is due to the minors that are present. The Vampire Innersanctum is a private area for 18+ to discuss more deeper levels of vampirism that would be deemed inappropriate for other age levels on the site. You must be a member and request admittance into this group before you will be able to access it. Please private message or email me to gain entry.
- Vampire Slayers: Threats are not tolerated. You will immediately be banned and if too intense, reported to local authorities. If you would not kill someone because they suffer from a condition of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc, then why would you even consider it with someone who has a vampyric condition? If you believe in the whole mythos and Hollywood portrayal, then you sincerely need to educate yourself on what vampirism truly is.

- Obnoxious, rude, or sexually explicit comments are not permitted.
- You must be a member of Darkness Embraced to submit a photo. You are required to be an active participant in other areas of the site. If posting your picture is all you are interested in, then please let me suggest Hot or Not. Don't waste my bandwidth and space if you do not intend on participating within the community. Responding to comments on your photos, private messages, and chat sessions does not serve as participation.
- Photographs submitted must be of the member. Avatars, artwork, Tattoos, celebrities, or random individuals, are not permitted.
- Nude Photographs are not permitted.
- Images can exceed 80 kb. So please, compress them before you submit them, or your submission will be rejected by the system by giving you a back prompt.
- Your photo cannot exceed the maximum of 400 in width. Photos submitted exceeding the maximum width will be deleted.
- There is a maximum of 5 photos per member at the present time.
- You must fill out all fields, or your submission will not be accepted by the system.
- Hot/direct linking is not permitted. This means you cannot use http://www.darkness-embraced/yourphoto.jpg on other sites. I am not your free hosting service. I must pay for my bandwidth and if I catch you doing this, and trust me I will, I will ban you indefinitely.
- Please only submit your photo once. It is not added instantaneously, photos must be approved by me first. Sometimes this takes time, so please be patient.
- In the From field, please use your member name. This is very important.

- Politics I discourage political discussions on Darkness Embraced. We had, in the past, discussions that soon resulted in brothels, bashing, and ruined friendships. Not everyone is from the same political party as you, nor do they share in the same world view as you on leadership, terrorism, war, etc. Considering there are thousands of political forums on the net, I do not see the need for it here. Darkness Embraced is not about politics, it is about vampires, vampirism, paganism, and Gothic subculture.
- Suicide Everyone becomes depressed now and then, sometimes, even to the point where one would like to end it all. It is good to get these emotions out and talk about it, but not on a public message board. I feel that it is best to discuss this subject with someone close to you in real life, or someone you have known a very long time online privately, or perhaps, depending on the level of your depression, a professional physician. We live in a world where not everyone is sympathetic as we would like them to be. I would not want someone to end their life because of some course of action or statement made by someone who is not sympathetic to someone’s contemplation of suicide. This has happened in some instances else where, and I do not want to bare the responsibility of a possible occurrence here. The only way that I can prevent this possibility would be to simply eliminate it from the beginning.
- Cutting I do not promote nor do I condone cutting. Talking about why you do it or seeking consolation in others is fine. However, promotion of it is not allowed.
- Sex Sex is a part of human nature, a beautiful communing of souls. However, please remember that we have minors on the site and that some things are inappropriate. Do not post things that are pornographic or erotic in nature within the forum. If you are uncertain of something that may be questionable to post, please send me a copy of it first for review. I will then get back with you on whether I feel it would be ok to post or not.
