Hello, I'm darklady, and I'm new to both this forum and this site.
I'm not a vampire or blood fetishist, but I have to admit that I have been fascinated by the subculture ever since I first heard about it. However, I've also been repulsed by it. Not by the blood-drinking pers se, but all I had ever seen of "real vampires" were those people in the media who say they're 5000 years old, they turn to dust in the sun, etc. Or, those freaks who kill for blood.
I have recently read a book by Katherine Ramsland that shows that there is a lot more to the subculture than that. I hope you don't mind if I sit in on the forum and ask questions, or is this for vampires only?

Hello an welcome Darklady, I'm sure as you see, we are a very helpful an friendly bunch, we like to help disspell the myths, lies, and rumors about ourselves, as well as show we are not like people who do crazy or illegal things and say they did it for or because of a vampire, or that they are vampires.
