Darkness Embraced has a few reasons for this, but primarily it is due to the dependency of translation systems that some of our foreign members use to communicate with here on Darkness Embraced. Also, let's not forget the text to speech programs that our visually impaired visitors depend upon. Any term not acknowleged by a standard dictionary will give a inappropriate translation and the visitors will eventually become frustrated and find somewhere else to go more lingually friendly.
Punctuation is just as important. Please use a space after you end a sentene with a period or comma. This is rather difficult for the average user to follow, much less for our foreign members.
Please capitalize "I" when used as a personal pronoun and all letters beginning a sentence. When posting in the forums and other formal areas of the site. |

There are quite a few that have not been following all of the above, I have tried to be a little easy on everyone and let things slip here and there, but it's really starting to get out of hand.
Everyday that I login here, instead of participating with some of the more enlightening posts on DE, I have to play clean up with alot of the posts not only in the forum, but in the photo gallery and other areas of the site as well. Mostly because of all the cell phone text. I have made every effort to make it clear as to why I don't want it here, but for some reason, I am seeing more and more of it. It needs to come to an end. NOW.
So.. from now on, any posts, comments, or profile information will be deleted without response or supplied reason if you insist on using cell phone text speech. I no longer have time to clean up the mess left behind to make the site look presentable and not reflect horribly on me.
Vampirism.. I have it outlined above as well. I do not patronize other people's fantasies. If you want immortals, turn into mist, be turned by being bitten, then buy your self a good fiction book and have at it, but do not persist on pushing this nonsense on here as a reality factor or you will not be here long.
These guidelines are not new, they have been here for a very long time. It is not my responsibility to continously remind everyone. It was your reponsibility to read through these things before you joined (as highligted) When you checked the "I agree to the terms of this site" when you signed up for an account. There is no excuse.
Let's get things back in order here .. please. I Thank You in advance for your cooperation. |

I wanted to bring this to the attention of all of the members on DE.
The admins here have been running around correcting a lot of posts in the forum as of late. I hope that by bumping this thread back into the current forum topics that everyone will take the opportunity to once again go through the rules for posting in the forum.
