| Quote: | ~~~~A 26 year old pasco man was arrested Friday on charges that he assult a child he was babysitting, Kennewick Police said.
Earl J. Anderson was caring for his friends 2 year old daughter while the mother was out of town. When she returned the next day she discovered bruises and a bite mark on her daughter, police said.
Anderson was booked into the Benton County jail for second degree assult of a child.
The 2 year old was treated and released from Kennewick General Hospital for minor injuries. ~~~~ |
This is from my local paper.
That little 2 year old girl that they speak of is my boyfriends daughter.
The man who hit her/bit her claimed to be NOT GUILTY this morning at his pre-trial. What they dont mention in this article is that this guy is over 6' and easily 275 lbs and military trained. They also leave out the chunk of hair missing from her head.
I am personally taking a stand here in my city, and have been to help familys deal with this sort of thing as I am a child of parents who were abused when they were young and always taught to stand up for those who can't defend themselves.... children.
I am disgusted that this man, decided that since he couldnt take the sound of a child crying would lash out like this and BITE a child, then plead innocent. |

This is sick and I applaud your efforts. As some one that was abused very badly as a child for some time I am sickened when I hear about this sort of thing. I wish there were more people like you BD. great job.

It just disgusts me when I read stories like this in the newspaper, I've heard of incident where abuse on a young child can leave them truamatized or cause them mental problems.
I'm very glad to hear that your taking a stand BD, I defently agree with LoneNights there should be more people like you. |

| Kudos BD, it makes me ill to read/hear about these things sadly though almost everyday when I watch the news they tell about a child that has been kidnapped/molested/hurt by someone and it has gotten to the point I hate to watch the news. I watched my mother confront a guy at a park when I was younger after he slapped his child in the face because the kid wanted to watch the ducks swim in a river, my mother walked up to the guy and asked how he would like to be slapped around. It's hard to belive that there are so many people that will just turn thier backs but also it's great to see those that will stand up and fight for those that can't. |

| how awful, I mean I've heard of babysitters doing all kinds of things to children, but biting a child is so wrong. people should consider who they leave with their children. |

| Hopefully for the child's sake (not to mention your boyfriend) the mother will be more careful who she leaves her child to from now on.... |

Wow...big military guy biting on little children because they cry...thought he was supposed to be a man? I can't stand the thought of somebody huring a munchkin just because of something like that...or because of anything else, for that matter. It just seems stupid, how do you torture somebody you're supposed to be taking care of? Hopefully he'll end up with some kinda sentence we can be happy about. They don't take kindly to child abusers of any sort in jail.

| Child abuse is sickening and stupid. I was a victim of child abuse when I was younger. I was beaten just because I got up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water. I've been around it my whole life. It's horrifying to see how kids are beaten just because they misbehave or they are doing something that doesn't please the adults around them. It really saddens me when I see stuff like this. |
